Faith is the powerhouse for Christian performance. It is a requirement for spiritual enforcement that produces physical manifestation. Like most spiritual phenomena its definition can be vague. Yet, it is very important to be able to convince potential converts about the significance of this very important Christian fundamental.

The scripture mentions faith as a fruit and as a gift (Galatians 5:22; 1 Corinthians 12:14). How do these agree since both references quote the same author?

So, is faith a reward for being an upright Christian or the inevitable result of the growth of Christian spirituality? What do you think?

The entire Chapter 3 of the Books of Acts presents an interesting scenario of dimesions of faith. It may be a good hint to revise s spiritual journey. The chapter talks about the action among Peter and John in one group, the lame man as another character and the observers as another participating group.

Would we say Peter and John had faith as a spiritual gift used as a fruit to propagate the gospel? Once again, a gift is supposed to be innate. We may be wrong. However, if someone gave you jewelry as a gift, it becomes your choice when to use or not use it. A fruit in our circumstances will be in your character, what is an expected part of you. A mango tree identifies the mango as the mango tree. Therefore, Christians exhibit faith or faithfulness because it identifies thier submission to Christ Jesus. That is, they trust Jesus Christ.

In the beatiful gate scenario, how would you classify the role of faith exercised by Peter and John in the healing of the lame man? Did the lame man exercise faith in any form? When, Peter and John decided to address the assembled crowd, what was the objective?

You will have the right to decide if you want your names and/or photograph associated with your response. If you do not own a personal bank account, you must name someone trusted to collect your money on your behalf. If we believe that you are a minor by the definition of State of Texas, United States of America, we ay choose not to associate your real names with your response during our announcement unless you can provide express permission from a responsible adult.

The questions will be posted a few days before the month, and you will usually have the entire month to research your answer. We will spend about 2-3 weeks reviewing the responses and will announce the winner before the new month comes up.

For example, the entry for February will be posted in the final days of January. Polls will close by February 28. We will announce the results for February about March 20th.

To join the discussion, you are encouraged to answer the month’s question in 250 words or less. Any responses longer than 250 words will not be accepted. Opportunities for that month close on the last day of the month. You can only make one final submission. However, if you make multiple submissions, you must indicate the date of your final submission or you lose out of the contest. Please save your work as a draft until you are ready to submit, this is the best way to avoid multiple confusing essays.

It is important to state that we do not think that there are right or wrong answers to these questions, and we have quite a bunch of them going forward. They are not yes or no question-and-answer posts. We have had some debate in our own boardrooms hence, we believe Christianity ill benefit as we adopt the ‘iron sharpens iron’ approach in bringing these issues to our general attention.
